George:
It is five minutes after you sent me your email responding to my email. I am in shock, and at a loss for words. There are no words for me to express my sorrow for your loss of your soulmate and life's companion. She was such a wonderful personable woman who was respected by all who met her.
As a long time friend, I can only ask you to understand that I too feel your loss, and can only express that you have my sincere and heartfelt sympathy for your sudden tragedy.

Dear Powlick Family,
I am so saddened to hear of Pat's passing. I have only recently gotten back in touch with Jennifer, and look forward to seeing her and meeting her beautiful children. Pat was my girl scout leader, and a wonderfully kind lady. I remember wonderful playdates, and making peanut butter and chocolate kiss cookies!!My deepest sympathies to you all.
love, Betty(Sirota)Monroe

Dear Powlick Family, especially Jennifer,
I am so sorry to hear the news of the passing of your beautiful mother. So much of my early childhood seems to have been a part of your life and remembering your mother. She was our girl scout leader, art teacher, and wonderful mother. I will always remember how pretty I thought she was, with her chestnut brown hair and high check bones. I always admire the art work that she did and how talented I thought she was, even when I was 6 years old. How she came to our elementry school to teach art history, and exposing us at a young age to the works of picassco, cezzane, and many others. I will also remember the endless sleep overs and birthday partys, waking up to your mother making pancakes for us in the kitchen. And thinking she was just like my mom, because she treating me and all your friends like we were. I hope this brings you comfort to know that your mom touched meny lives and we loved her very much. -Sharon Rothenberg Harris

Pat
Sight unseen, you invited me into your home to meet the young man your little sister Pam was talking so much about on her visit to you during the holidays in 1980. You welcomed me with open arms and your loving smile, you made me feel a part of the family before I ever was. Trusted me with your little sister and encouraged our relationship. A wonderful sister-in-law, a loving aunt to our children and always supportive to Pam and our family. I will do my best to take care of Pam, Lisa and Jessica knowing you are watching and with us at all times.
Love Always
Mike
